Biography

Roberto Camussi is full professor of Fluid Dynamics at the University Roma Tre of Rome since 2011. He completed a degree in Aeronautical Engineering at the University “La Sapienza” of Rome in 1991 followed by a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in the same University. He moved to the University Roma Tre as a researcher in 1995.

His main research activities deal with experimental aerodynamics and aeroacoustics with specific interests on jet noise, propeller noise and wall pressure modelling. Further research activities concern turbulence combustion, naval propellers and advanced data processing techniques. He is member of the Aeroacoustic Specialists Commitee of the CEAS  (Council of European Aerospace Society), is Expert Evaluator for the EU under the program H2020 (including Clean Sky and CS2), member of international working groups (IEA-WIND Task 47 and NATO AVT-318) and serves as a referee for many other international agencies. He was deputy director of the Engineering Dept. of the University Roma Tre and presently is the Scientific Coordinator of the Roma Tre Research Agency. He collaborates with several national and international Universities and research centers and is referee of many international scientific journals. He is and was principal investigator of many research projects funded by private companies and public entities at national and international level. Presently he coordinates a project funded by the EU under the CS2 program (project VENUS) and participate, as partner coordinator, to two further EU funded projects (ERACLE and ENODISE). He authored and co-authored more than 220 scientific publications.
