Horizontal jet

The system basically consists of 4 components: fan, diffuser, plenum chamber and nozzle.

The air flow is generated by a fan that through a PVC pipe reaches the inlet section of the diffuser. In the diffuser airflow evolves decaying slowed and compressed.
The outlet section of the diffuser is linked to the plenum chamber, into which the stream reaches the lowest speed so it can modify some of its features through the cells in the honeycomb and grids inside the room.
At the outlet section of the plenum chamber is keyed, through a plate, the nozzle from which the jet finally comes out.
The system turns out to be, therefore, a reproduction of the upstream section of a test chamber of a wind tunnel at open circuit and at low speed.
